• This body of work begins with the delicate process of creating mushroom spore prints. Spores, the minuscule reproductive cells essential for fungal growth and reproduction, are central to this exploration. Traditionally, these spore prints serve primarily to identify the genus of a mushroom specimen. When transferred onto paper, they reveal dusty, ethereal replicas of the original mushroom forms. Given the fleeting and fragile nature of these initial images, I carefully cut and arrange them into intricate collages before photographing the compositions. These collages, born directly from living organisms, evoke broader patterns and systems within the natural world. They simultaneously suggest the frenetic division of cells and the infinite vastness of deep space. My fascination spans both the biological intricacies and the poetic enigmas inherent in nature, which come together in the ghostly, textured landscapes these impressions create.
